After a few health issues including a wicked round of COVID, I want to get back into the swing of things by way of some updates.
The Stamp - Sheryl McCollum called me yesterday confirming what we have suspected about the new evidence in Brittany’s case. The letter was absolutely posted and sent the same day.
Sheryl spoke with a representative, Sabrina, at the Hapeville, GA post office. Sabrina confirmed a few things:
the printed stamp came from a KIOSK which means it didn’t have to be sent from a postal office
Sheryl asked if these kiosks could be located anywhere - they can and are often at retailers like grocery stores but also - notably can be on college campuses.
Yep - very much so - college campuses would be a location we could expect — this is where we need TCC staff, students, former staff, alumni, and any campus workers to let us know if there is now or was a postal kiosk on campus.
The stamp was purchased AND sent on the same day - Sabrina confirmed this because of the cancellation date, which is the postage purchase date.
Also, Sabrina noted typical last pick-ups at satellite locations would be around 2 PM local time. This means it would fit into our thinking on the new timeline.
So to be clear this is factual evidence. We have been able to verify with a postal employee the fact that the letter was both stamped and mailed the same day.
While we have assumed this since Maggie got the letter - we can say it is factual evidence.
Tulsa Police Department must change the timeline and reinterview everyone - no alibi matters until it is revisited with each suspect or potential witness.
