From Maggie (Today March 1, 2023 on FB)
She is also asking the following - if you don’t yet you can join the Brittany E.S. Phillips Unsolved Murder Discussion Group here:
Since the new evidence with the envelope/stamp was highlighted by local news stations and national podcasts - people have been reaching out to Maggie and sending in tips to the TPD and just asking questions - which is GREAT!
For example:
I want to thank the people who let me connect with them from Brittany’s life. One, a person who went to high school with Brittany, reached out to Maggie so I sent them a note. As I have noted before I keep sources anonymous and went through Maggie to make this direct connection, asking for permission first.
They were one of a handful of former Union High School graduates who have started piecing things together - if nothing more than putting names to faces from memories. That goes a long way.
Of Glenn Eagles, they wrote:
“They were quiet, very dark in some areas along the outskirts. Close to where Brittany lived. My friends and I used to get drunk and walk around the whole out rim of the apartments to sober up and be stupid…”
and;
“I’m not sure how much I can help. I just know that Brittany dated a guy [REDACTED] he drove a black Honda prelude new model, they were always together and I just remember his face very distinctively because I actually lived in those apartments up till 2003. I lived on 1 side and Brittany on the other. I never lived there till after she was murdered in 2004 and my friends told me.”
and;
“[Brittany was] a beautiful girl. She probably said no more than 2-3 full sentences to me but was always nice to me.”
I asked whether this person was abusive toward Brittany and they said not to their knowledge.
But - it’s another name to pass along to TPD. Not all names or tips mean the person did something wrong or there are accusations of wrongdoing. More likely in this case giving another name of a person who was in Brittany’s orbit during her last months on earth provides a broader picture of the who, what, where, and why of her murder.
